This morning the new Cherry class met their new teacher. We wrote all about ourselves and drew pictures about what we liked doing. After that we did maths and played a really fun game with teen numbers and making 20. We have had our class photo for next year and made a beautiful cherry tree by using our fingers to make cherries. It was a great morning.

Woodborough Olympics 🏆🏅🏊
This week we’ve been getting into the Olympic spirit. On Monday we handed in our handmade Olympic torches and it was great to see such a wide variety of designs. Katelyn won the competition and lead Cherry class out on Sports day while Sam had a commendation from the judges. Here are our great designs.
Tennis, music and persuasion.
What another busy day we’ve had! It started with a tennis session led by Pewsey Tennis Club and we practised our tennis and ball control skills. Martin thought we were brilliant and we definitely have some budding professional players in Cherry class!
We performed our music that we composed in recorders to Mrs Brewis and Mrs Hobbs and continued to work on our persuasive TV adverts. We will be recording these next week using Green Screen technology and Seesaw home as well as posting a few videos on the blog!
Wonderful Woodland 🐌🐞🍂🌿
This morning we walked to the woodland area and had a brilliant time. First we made pictures of trees using natural materials that we found and used the iPads to photograph all the interesting things.
After we made Ancient Greek Parthenons from twigs and sticks. It was lots of fun and we made some great replicas. We have Seesaw’ed our favourite photos from the woodland area home.
3-D Shapes and Rounders
This week we’ve been looking at 3-D shapes. These have 3 dimensions that are height, length and depth. We know that vertex is the mathematical word for corner and today we used the polydron to make lots of different 3-D shapes.
This afternoon we played rounders in preparation for the house competition next term. Cherry class have some excellent batters!
