This has been a very busy week in Cherry Class.
On Tuesday we had a visit from three ladies from the Vale of Pewsey Archaeology Awareness Project. They presented a puppet show entitled “THE LAND THROUGH WHICH THE STONES PASSED”, set in the Neolithic Period. It has been written for Primary School children in the Pewsey Vale by children’s author Barbara Townsend. She and Puppeteer Alix Booth brought this ancient story to life.
We really enjoyed the show and had lots of wonderful questions about puppets and the Stone Age afterwards.
On Wednesday, in preparation our Harvest Service, Lauren’s mummy, Mrs Silva came in as Major Silva and talked to us about the Army. It was very interesting and we now know a lot more about the Armed Forces and the Army in particular.
This morning every class shared their work on SERVICES in our Harvest and Welcome Service. Well done and thank you to our presenters
Our prayer readers, Emily and Harry
and our Worship Committee members –
The Worship Committee presented the whole service, so a special mention was made to them.
We then went back to class and had a go on Times Tables Rockstars, for some of us it was the first go, so now we should be all ready to have a go at home.
It is Global Week next week so have a read of the Newsletter that was sent out this week to find out what’s going on. Our English homework also has a Global Week theme.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
