Our day at RIAT

We had a fantastic day at the Air Tattoo: going inside huge transporter planes and helicopters; watching amazing air displays by the Red Arrows, the Swiss display team and several fighter jets which are so loud and much more.

We arrived just in time to see the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight from our coach and then straight to the nearest viewing area to watch the Red Arrows Display.

We then walked to the Techno Zone; on the way watching more brilliant flying displays, going on aircraft and eating lunch- ear plugs and defenders continually at the ready!

There was so much to see and do in the Techno Zone that we completely missed the downpour (the RAF100 fly past was cancelled) and before we knew it, it was time to make our way back to the coach, again via the vast array of aircraft. We went in a helicopter and also stopped for ice cream!

We collected stickers, posters and lots of fun but important facts on the way.

Thank you to Mrs Burley and Mr Reeve who helped look after Cherry Class with Mrs Barker and myself.

What an amazing Art Week!

And it’s Friday!

This morning we made our marbled sheets (which were beautiful) into orchids, so lots of cutting and sticking. Once again, thank you to Mrs Barker and, Mrs Reeve and Mrs Burley who helped us finish these off in time 👍😃. This was between rehearsals and other last minute finishing touches.

Our Art Week Assembly was  a fantastic way to end a wonderful week. Thank you to everyone who came along, the children loved sharing their work with you.

Finally Cherry Class would like to say a great big thank you to Mrs Barrett for organising such a fun week.

( I have put the work we displayed up in class and will hand out individual pieces of work at the end of term. Mrs C)
